Jacqui completed her four year Bachelor of Science (Acupuncture) in 2018, in addition she also has a degree in nursing which she completed in 1996. She is registered with AHPRA for both occupations, and continues to work both as a nurse in a major hospital two days a week, and as an acupuncturist three to four days a week. Having a western medicine background has helped her combine the best of both medicines in her acupuncture treatments.
Freedom Acupuncture first opened its doors in Comino’s Arcade, Redcliffe in January 2020, unfortunately the heritage listed building had a few problems and would have flooded at least a dozen times during those five years, not to mention multiple other issues with the building, i.e. bees living in the brick cavity, which would make their way into the clinic rooms, foul smells which would waft up from the basement from time to time. This prompted the move in January 2025 to a home based clinic.
Since graduating from acupuncture college, Jacqui has studied many different styles of Acupuncture including Dr Tan, Master Tung, Zhu scalp, Ear (auricular) Acupuncture, Trigger Point, Motor Point Acupuncture and electro-acupuncture. Over time she found some styles better for some conditions compared to others.
In early 2022, she came across a totally new system of acupuncture called Neoclassical Acupuncture (NCA) which other acupuncturist were describing as “the next level”, and so yet another learning journey began. Although, it was challenging to begin with, the results she is see in clinic is nothing short of remarkable, and is now her preferred method of treating.
